Autism Awareness App-ril!

Over the past couple of months, I have collected apps used with students with autism from educators, therapists, families, and students themselves. Each day I will feature an app or 2 with some information about the app. While there are 1000s of apps out there, this will be focused so that by the end of the month you have some new apps and/or new ideas on how to use apps you already use! Thanks for the support.

This is an excellent compilation. I use Bitsboard to develop custom functional sight word lists and love the variety of games for practice. There's a new app out which I created called Smart Steps Mobile on Apple and Android. It's in the early stages so I would love feedback on what new features would be most helpful. Currently the content is geared toward teens who are moving on to college and want help making decisions for everyday life such as a late ride, a lost item, handling questions at work or in class, handling personal questions, being hungry, and so on. It's a free download. Please give it a look!

Peter thank you so much! It was tough to weed through all the suggestions and the ones I see used on a daily basis. It really emphasized an app is nothing unless it is combined with goals and pedagogy in mind. Thanks for the kind words. Mark
